DGS Unruh Historic Building Renovation

All new, High-performing mechanical and plumbing systems have been designed and implemented into the historic building. An all-electric air source heat pump system supports the California State decarbonization goals, eliminating the building’s reliance on natural gas systems for comfort heating. The new systems use significantly less energy, substantially improve thermal comfort, and integrate into the new building design and the historic building.

Systems Include:

• 100% OSA units with run-around heat recovery
• Zone level sensible cooling terminal units using medium temperature chilled water
• Rooftop Air Source Heat Pumps
• DGS Central Utility Plant chilled water, with building level pumps for chilled water and medium temperature chilled water systems.
